angeboten.  Hier sind wir im botanischen Garten von Kingstown &#8211;  der Hauptstadt von St.Vincent un den Grenadinen (SVG).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bis 1979 waren die SVG britische Kolonie. Heute geh\u00f6ren sie noch zu Commonwealth. Auf den M\u00fcnzen (East Carribian Dollar heisst die W\u00e4hrung, umgangssprachlich EasyDollar) sieht man das Portr\u00e4t von Queen Elisabeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 trainiert in Ermangelung eines Wasserballs mit einer Kokusnuss, direkt gegen\u00fcber der Marina ist auf der Insel Young Iland ein sch\u00f6ner Strand der zu einem Hotel geh\u00f6rt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div Er ist 1979 das letzte Mal ausgebrochen. Damals gab es viele Tote, aber heute soll es ein gutes Vorwarnsystem geben. Wir vertrauen darauf und besteigen den Vulkan. Das stellt sich als eine wirklich anstrengende Wanderung heraus. Es geht zuerst durch den beeindruckenden Regenwald. Bei der Temperatur und der Luftfeuchtigkeit versagen die besten Hightech-Textilien die man kriegen kann. Es sind ca. 350 H\u00f6henmeter zu steigen. Unterhalb des Vulkankraters gibt es nur noch Ger\u00f6ll und es pfeifft ein eisiger Wind. Wir hatten zum Gl\u00fcck Jacken dabei. Die Sicht war leider ziemlich schlecht durch die tiefh\u00e4ngenden Wolken. So soll man sich IMMER VORHER genau sagen lassen was etwas kostet und was man genau daf\u00fcr bekommt. Aber auch dann gibt es Situationen in denen unser Verst\u00e4ndnis nicht dem der anderen entspricht. Das Foto zeigt einen Mann der in der Marina die Boote putzte. Wir hatten ihn vorher auf einem anderen Boot gesehen und fanden das er es gut gemacht hat. Als er uns fragte, haben wir einen Preis von 60 US Dollar f\u00fcr das ganze Boot als angemessen betrachtet. Er meinte aber nach 2 Stunden fertig zu sein, ohne das z.B. die Edelstahlteile geputzt waren. Auf unsere Frage erkl\u00e4rte er, das &#8218;Cleaning&#8216; und &#8218;polishing&#8216; etwas anderes seien und wir das nicht bestellt h\u00e4tten. So hatte er einen Stundenlohn von 30 US Dollar. In St. Vincent betr\u00e4gt der Durchschnittslohn pro Tag 15 US Dollar. Trotz Jochens \u00c4rger haben wir bezahlt und das unter &#8218;Erfahrung&#8216; abgebbucht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Einige Segler hatten \u00e4hnliche Erlebnisse mit Taxifahrern. Wir haben uns ausschliesslich von den lokalen Kleinbussen fahren lassen. Das ist ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis. Man stellt sich an die Strasse (man f\u00e4hrt hier links!) und hebt die Hand. Schon nach kurzer Zeit stoppt ein Kleinbus, vergleichbar mit einem VW-Transporter aber hier fahren fast nur japanische, koreanische oder chinesische Autos. Meist haben die Reifen kein Profil und die Stossd\u00e4mpfer haben ihre beste Zeit auch hinter sich. Daf\u00fcr ist die Hupe st\u00e4ndig im Einsatz und im Wagen dr\u00f6hnt unendlich laute Musik. Zus\u00e4tzlich zum Fahrer gibt es einen Mann der ist f\u00fcr das Auf- und Zuschieben der T\u00fcr und das Kassieren des Fahrgeldes zust\u00e4ndig ist.  Meist sind schon alle der regul\u00e4ren 13 Pl\u00e4tze besetzt wenn der Bus h\u00e4lt. Aber wie durch ein Wunder passen immer noch mehr Menschen hinein. Da sitzt man am Ende fast dem Nachbarn auf dem Schoss aber immerhin werden so bis zu 23 Passagiere transportiert.
