Die Insel geh\u00f6rt schon seit ihrer Kolonialisierung zu Frankreich und hat eine enge Bindung an die Bretagne. Da es hier nie Landwirtschaft in gr\u00f6\u00dferem Umfang gab, wurden hier auch keine afrikanischen Sklaven angesiedelt. Einklariert wird wieder ganz unkompliziert online. Wir finden eine gute Mooring in der Bucht vor Bourg des Saintes, der einzigen Stadt der Insel. besuchen das 2015 err\u00f6ffnete Memorial ACTe, ein Museum das sich der Geschichte der Kolonialisierung der karibischen Inseln und besonders dem Sklavenhandel widmet. Dieser ultramoderne Museumsbau hebt sich aus der ansonsten recht eint\u00f6nigen Kulisse der Stadt wohltuend heraus. 01.02.2020 motoren wir 18sm Richtung Osten nach St. Francois direkt am Atlantik. Hier ankern wir in einer wundersch\u00f6nen Bucht gesch\u00fctzt durch ein Korallenriff auf 1,8m Tiefe. Der Anker erf\u00fcllt Jochens Erwartungen und gr\u00e4bt sich tief ein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bei dem t\u00fcrkisblauen Wasser und den mit Palmen bestandenen Str\u00e4nden kommt richtiges Karibikfeeling auf. So sch\u00f6n hatten wir es bisher selten. Wir verbringen viel Zeit mit Schnorcheln. Tauchen muss man bei einer Wassertiefe von h\u00f6chstens 3m nicht. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-8 is-layout-flex Francois ist ber\u00fchmt f\u00fcr sein breites Spektrum an Sportarten. Vom Boot aus sehen wir den Schwimmteil eines Triathlons. Auf dem Wasser sind zahlreiche Tauchboote, Kitesurfer, Paddler und SUPs unterwegs. Am Himmel sehen wir kleine Flugzeuge die G\u00e4ste zum Tandem-Fallschirmspringen an Bord haben, UL-Flieger und auch Tragschrauber. Ausserdem gibt es auf der anderen Seite der Uferstrasse einen 18-Loch-Golfplatz.
