Mai segeln wir von Fort Pierce nach Jacksonville, eine Nachtfahrt auf der Atlantikseite. Nach Mitternacht m\u00fcssen wir motoren, der Wind ist stark zur\u00fcckgegangen. Man darf hier bis zu 72h kostenlos liegen. Wasser gibt es auch am Steg. Der Strom durch die Gezeiten ist heftig, teilweise messen wir 3 kn. Wir haben extra vorher unsere Masth\u00f6he vermessen, sie stimmt mit der Werftangabe \u00fcberein &#8211; 63,5 Fuss. Hinzu kommt noch unsere UKW-Antenne, wir kommen so auf  64,5 Fuss. Die Durchfahrtsh\u00f6he aller Br\u00fccken im ICW, die nicht zum \u00d6ffnen sind, betr\u00e4gt ca. 65 Fuss! Es gibt hier Manatees (Seek\u00fche), Schildkr\u00f6ten, Delphine und Krokodile. Wir sehen auch welche, wobei die Seek\u00fche nur kurz ihre Nasenl\u00f6cher aus dem Wasser stecken. Heute erfahren wir, da\u00df die Agentur dies nicht an den Versicherer weitergegeben hat und wir seit dem 30. April ohne Versicherung sind! Sie wurde mal von der US-Marine gebaut und soll ein Hurrikan sicherer Zufluchtsort sein (die Luftbildaufnahmen sind von der Homepage der Marina und www.marinas.com).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure Wir ziehen den Kiel ein und k\u00f6nnen Caroline damit direkt auf dem Boden lagern. Zus\u00e4tzlich kommt ein Stahltr\u00e4ger unter den Rumpf, den wir mit Spanngurten an den Mittelklampen befestigt haben. Ein Kippen ist somit fast unm\u00f6glich. Die Werftmitarbeiter staunen&#8230; Und wir sparen uns die Kosten f\u00fcr den Hurrikan-Erdanker. Zus\u00e4tzlich kaufen wir noch Planen und shade tarps (ein Gewebe aus der Gartenabteilung das die UV-Strahlung um 75% reduzieren soll) um Caroline  f\u00fcr gut 7 Monate hier lassen zu k\u00f6nnen. Juni nach Atlanta, dem gr\u00f6\u00dften Flughafen der Welt. Der Mittelstreifen des Highways ist breiter als unsere Autobahnen insgesamt. Eisenhauer hatte nach dem Krieg Autobahnen in Deutschland gesehen und diese in den Staaten eingef\u00fchrt &#8211; das Interstate System wurde gebaut. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Normalerweise werden in Atlanta weit \u00fcber 100 Millionen Passagiere abgefertigt, bei uns war er gespenstisch leer. Der Shuttlebus zum Terminal ebenfalls, die meisten Pl\u00e4tze mussten wegen Corona leer bleiben. So waren wir nur zu f\u00fcnft in dem Bus in dem bestimmt 40 Personen Platz finden w\u00fcrden. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Im KLM-Flugzeug waren Masken Pflicht und es wurden nicht alle Pl\u00e4tze belegt. Es gab auch nur eine eingeschr\u00e4nkte Versorgung (Verpflegungsbeutel). Nach der Zwischenlandung in Amsterdam war der Flieger voll ausgelastet. In Berlin sollten wir aber, entsprechend die geltenden Bestimmungen, beim Aussteigen einen Sicherheitsabstand zu den anderen Passagieren einhalten ;-).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Auf dem Flughafen Tegel wies uns die Bundespolizei darauf hin, das wir 14 Tage Quarant\u00e4ne einzuhalten h\u00e4tten. Zwar konnte die Familie nicht anwesend sein, aber alles war gro\u00dfartig vorbereitet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wir fanden einen voll best\u00fcckten K\u00fchlschrank und eine volle Speisekammer vor. Die Enkel hatten uns tolle Bilder und Briefe hingelegt.
